PIRANHA™ Concentrate Wallpaper Remover

Application Instructions

Surface Preparation: Vinyl or vinyl coated wallcoverings must be perforated with a Piranha Scoring Tool to allow penetration of remover. As with any remover, protect surfaces and floor with a drop cloth.

Dilution: Add 6 oz. of concentrate to every 1 gallon of hot tap water (120°F)

Application Method: Use when the room temperature is 60-70°F. Apply with a low pressure, low atomization sprayer, such as a garden sprayer. Remover may also be sponged on.

Removing Wallcovering: Apply remover to the scored wallpaper. Let soak for 15 minutes. Use Piranha Scraper with Roller and start scraping from ceiling down. Reapply remover as it absorbs.

Removing Paste Residue: Apply remover to wall and let soak for 15 minutes. Scrub residue with Piranha Removal Sponge. Reapply remover as it absorbs. Rinse wall thoroughly with clean water.

Clean-Up: Rinse wall thoroughly with clean water. Allow wall surface to dry thoroughly before painting or installing wallpaper.

Warning

If you scrape, sand, or remove old paint, you may release lead dust. LEAD IS TOXIC. EXPOSURE TO LEAD DUST CAN CAUSE SERIOUS ILLNESS, SUCH AS BRAIN DAMAGE, ESPECIALLY IN CHILDREN. PREGNANT WOMEN SHOULD ALSO AVOID EXPOSURE. Wear a NIOSH-approved respirator to control lead exposure. Clean up carefully with a HEPA vacuum and a wet mop. Roman Products, LLC does not endorse the use of any product in an installation that does not meet a Class A fire rating or any applicable code. Testing by a certified laboratory should be conducted to verify that the installation meets a Class A fire rating and to guarantee compliance with all applicable codes. Specifically, if a Roman product is used to hang wallpaper over existing wallpaper, it is unlikely to meet these standards.

Limited Warranty

Roman Products, LLC warrants that it will replace this product free of charge, if, within 12 months of manufacture, it is found to be defective in material or workmanship. This warranty is in lieu of any other. The exclusive remedy is limited to the replacement of the product and Roman disclaims all liability for consequential, punitive, and special damages. Conditions of use are beyond our control.

Caution

Store in a cool, dry place. DO NOT FREEZE! Do not take internally. In case of ingestion, seek medical attention. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Use of skin and eye protection is recommended at all times. If contact with eye occurs, flush with water for 15 minutes. If skin contact occurs, wash with soap and water. Seek medical attention if rash or other symptoms occur. Do not mix with other chemicals. Use in a well-ventilated work area. Close container after each use. Keep out of reach of children.
